Spur Products Announces More Features and Lower Price for the New SB/2K Deluxe
SpurBox Kicked Into High Gear!
Boise, ID - AUGUST 1, 1997 - Spur Products Corporation announced today the release of the new SB/2K Deluxe, a dramatic reconfiguration of the popular SpurBox/2000 (SB/2K) product family. The SB/2K Deluxe lists for $2,000 less than the SpurBox/2000. On top of this, another $5,000 worth of options are bundled into the standard package, amounting to $7,000 worth of additional value and savings. "Rather than picking and choosing from a confusing array of SpurBox/2000 options, over $5,000 worth of options now come standard with every unit shipped. These capabilities make the SB/2K Deluxe the best production printer connectivity value available" according to Ben Price, Product Marketing Manager for the SB/2K.
Next Generation of Value All of the former output modules (Xerox, Oce', IBM, and Centronics) as well as Novell and DECnet input compatibility are now shipped standard with the SB/2K Deluxe. The Xerox Supplemental Parser is also standard and contains custom parsers for 3rd party Metacode drivers and Forms Generation packages.
A Complete Solution The SB/2K Deluxe is a turnkey solution containing all the hardware and software needed to connect Ethernet and Token Ring hosts to multiple high-speed production printers (Xerox and other IBM 3211 or 3800 Mod 2 compatibles). "Our customers are looking for solutions, not more headaches from installing a connectivity kit on their PCs. The SB/2K Deluxe gives our customers a smoother start-up as well as a single source for hardware or software support issues" explains Ron Barstow, Spur Engineering Support Manager.
The exclusive Queue Management Facility (QMF) is standard with every SB/2K Deluxe, as well as an extensive range of high-speed printer support. The intuitive, menu driven QMF allows the user to quickly and easily automate and manage print files based on their name and/or origin.
The new SB/2K Deluxe and the AS/400 and TCP/IP modules will be available from Spur Products August 1st, 1997. For more information on how the SB/2K can help manage production printing in AS/400, mixed host, or network environments, contact Spur directly at (208) 377-0001, or check out the Deluxe information on this web site. Spur Products Corporation has been a manufacturer of connectivity for high-speed, high-volume printing systems since 1972.
